On the road...

On Tuesday, March 15th, we headed out to Illinois for Josh and Abbe's wedding.  We left around 7 p.m., and drove straight thru.  We arrived the next day at noon.  It was a very long trip, but driving through the night sure helps when you're traveling with lots of kids.  They all fell asleep around 9:30p.m. and slept right through until sunrise the next morning.  I helped out with the driving, and it helped to take turns, so neither of us got too tired.
Going through Chattanooga Tenn around 1 a.m.

This boy woke up around 1:30a.m. and stayed up for a little over a hour.  But, he was good, just looking out the window and commenting when he would see lots of lights.
At 7a.m. the next morning we had made it to Indianapolis.  We had survived the night driving! It's so much easier once the sun comes up.  Even though Patrick and I hadn't slept we felt all awake again!
Beautiful sunrise in Indiana. Pit stop for breakfast.

This was so nice to see on the gps, considering it said 18 hrs when we started out!
You know you've been on the road a while when the baby is reaching for this! : ) Not really, but he loved playing with the empty bottle.
