Weekend happenings!

This sweet girl woke up from her nap on Friday when I was just finishing making the pizza dough for our Friday night pizza, and she comes up to me in the kitchen and says, "Mommy, hold me."  I was more than happy to oblige.  She normally comes to me to be held a couple times a day and I love that.  They all too quickly grow out of that stage where they need that extra attention, and I'm loving that she wants it still.  And, that makes me think that I stop what I'm doing and hold her, and yes I might be off here to some, because I'm giving her what she wants.  But, you know, I've never heard a Mom that has lost a child say they wish they were harder on them, they wish they would have trained him more, they wish they would have taught him to work harder.......No!  In fact, what they will say is I wish I would have spent more time holding them, cuddling them, kissing them, spent time playing with them, and realizing what's important.  The days are fleeting, and there was a time in my life four years ago when I thought two of my children were dead, and yes, what came to my mind was that I wanted to hold them, and kiss them, and let them know how much they're loved.
Homemade pizza ready for the oven.
These girls saddest time of day is when their Daddy leaves for work (mine too : ), and their happiest time of day is when he comes home at night!  They love to sit and cuddle and tell him all about their day.

Jackson had so much fun doing some horseback riding with Adrian on Saturday.  He sat up on that horse and just grinned and laughed the whole time.  The weather is cooling down now, which makes it a lot nicer for horseback riding on Saturdays.  They all had a turn riding, even Ava did some solo riding, but I didn't get enough pics.
