Running errands...

Brandon got to go run errands with me the other day.  I love when I can give the kids one on one time and visit with them on the way to a store.  It normally happens on the weekend when Dad is home, or after dinner if there's a quick trip needed to the Dollar General Market. I've always got one (or more!) who is willing to come with me.  So, this trip Brandon was talking about what he wants to be when he grows up (which changes a lot!).  On this particular night he told me he wanted to be a doctor like Ms. Connie and help kids with problems.  Well, I explained that Ms. Connie is a nurse , not a dr, but that was a good thing to want to do.  He loves Ms. Connie, and she has been such a blessing to our family.  We met her just days before we were released to come home from the hospital when Brandon was a month old.  I still remember a Dr bringing her into our room and telling us this lady  would be our nurse, surgery coordinator and loads of other things that her job brings.  At the time little did I know how close we'd become, and what she would mean to us 8 years later.  She is a dear friend, and Brandon always makes sure to invite her to his birthday party.  We see her every 6 months when we go in for his appts with his Dr, and she always comes right out to the waiting room to give us all big hugs. She takes her job seriously and really loves her patients.  She's not there for the career, she's there because she truly loves these children, and wants to make sure they get the best care they can get.
