Short days, late nights, a weekend in the hospital, and more........

I haven't posted in a while, because we have been very busy, with a lot of different things going on. We are trying very hard to get the house finished, so we can move in, and we are hoping to start moving things over this Friday evening. We have been working over there everyday after Patrick gets off work, and trying to get all the painting finished. We are really close to being done now, and that's so exciting. It will be nice to be able to relax a little bit, and get a little more sleep. Frances has helped out a great deal with watching the kids in the evening while Patrick and I paint etc. A couple of nights we have put the children to bed there, and just stayed until the wee hours of the morning. You can get a lot more done when there asleep : ) Today and tomorrow the tile is being layed, and then on Thursday the carpet is getting put in. Patrick has layed all the wood flooring, and it looks so nice. Last night we had some help from Becky and Joe, and that was so nice. Becky helped me tackle the spare bathroom that needs all the wallpapper pulled off the walls : ( That's like so not fun!! But, last night she helped me make a big dent in that job, and it's just about done. Joe was able to finish the last of the painting. So, hopefully soon I will post some pictures of it all completed. I've been packing everything up at this house during the days, so our house looks pretty bare now! Saturday we have a couple coming to look at the house who are very interested in renting it, so that's an answer to prayer! We are praying they will like the house, and they have already said they would want to move in as soon as possible.

The weekend before last we spent it in the hospital with Brandon. He's been having problems with his stomach now for close to two months, vomiting off and on, and for no apparent reason. It had gotten really bad that Friday and Saturday, and so after talking with his cardiologists we decided to take him in Saturday evening to make sure his problem wasn't heart related. He couldn't seem to keep anything down, and he would vomit everytime his breathing was fast. By Sunday they were able to rule it out that it wasn't at all heart related. They were able to do a very good eco while he was asleep, and they said his heart is functioning very strong and good. So, they kept us until Monday trying to figure out why he's having this problem. They narrowed it down to being GI (stomach) related, and we went this Friday for more tests to figure out what's wrong there, but both of those tests came back completely normal, and so now it back to just speculating. This week the problem has definitely been less frequent, so that's nice. I'm praying if it's something he's going to grow out of like the doctor's are now thinking, that he will "grow" out of it really fast : ) We are thankful that both of the tests on Friday came back good. While Brandon was in the hospital I had to come home every night with Hannah-Lynn, because of course with her being with me, we couldn't all four stay in the room together, and this time we were actually sharing the room with another patient. So, I would stay until we got Brandon to sleep, and then come home with the baby, Patrick of course stayed with Brandon. One night when I got home, I ran over the cat! I felt so terrible! We inherited the cat when we moved into this house, the owners left it with the house, and we named the cat "Tommy" before we realized it was a "she!". So anyways the cat and dog were playing on the cement when I pulled up, so I stopped and waited for them to move, which they always do, but then after this strange sound reached my ears, I knew this time the cat had not moved! I quickly backed up, and the cat when running of with what appeared to be a broken leg. It had already been a long emotional day trying to get Brandon's problem straightened out, so that was like the cherry on the cake. I felt so terrible, but I called my Mom and she sent my Dad out to check on the cat, and she seemed to be ok, she was moving around, just dragging her leg. We decided to wait until Patrick got home to see what to do with the cat, since she didn't act like she was like dying or anything. But, by the time we got released and home on Monday she was in worse conditions, and well, Patrick got to use his gun! Adrian wasn't sure why you would shoot a cat, to get the cat out of it's misery! So, we will move to our new place with one animal less!

hope you can get settled soon, Hannah. Sounds like you've had some rough times here lately. Thanks for giving us an update so I can know how to pray for you better.

Your post kinda sounds like a country music song, somehow.

But the best part is knowing you have friends (at least us, anyway) praying for ya'll as you pull wall paper down and shoot cats. You have our blessings on both activities.

Miss you guys!

Oh my goodness Hannah I didn't know about the cat!! That must have been awful.
Hannah-Lynn is SO adorable and growing so much. I love her blue eyes, just like her brother's.

You poor thing!! Your last 2 weeks sounded like what mine were like. Just when I thought nothing more could happen or go wrong, it did!!! Can't wait to see pics of your new place. :)
