Memorial Day

This Memorial Day Patrick had to fly, so I took the children in the morning and went out with my Mom and sisters. We had a good time, although it was my first time to venture out with all the children without Patrick's help! My Mom and sisters helped me out though, and we made it just fine : ) When I got home the kids all took their naps and I even got to sneak a few winks too, which doesn't happen very often! Later on in the evening when Patrick got back we went over to Mom and Dad's for hamburgers. So, all in all the day was good, I just missed Patrick being gone.

Brandon was trying to get off the couch, and didn't want to stay still for this picture!

Our little princess, Hannah-Lynn Victoria

Heading out!

Josiah, Adrian wanted you to see he has the same shirt as you, and he's very excited about getting to match you when you come down next time!

Yes, I was in orange too!

This is the end of the day, and although a picture was the last thing I wanted, I was thinking I should be orange too!

Orange day..

2 months old

Hannah-Lynn turned two months last week! She's growing up, and it's hard to believe two months have already gone by since we were blessed with her. She had her two month checkup at the pediatrician's and she's doing very well. She weighed 13lbs., and she's 24 in. long.

Yesterday she found her thumb, and it looks too cute, but I'm making sure she takes her paci over the thumb!

Happy Mother's Day

Brandon enjoying his first real taste of a chocolate bar! He absolutely loved it!

At 4a.m. this morning when I was sitting in our rocker feeding Hannah-Lynn this poem just totally came to me about Brandon. I guess it's what's been in my head with all he's been through these past few months. He's been sick on and off with ear infections, colds, and then most recently this week we got the flu. The amazing thing was I didn't have to think long for the next line, it's like the Lord just gave it to me, and I was even able to remember it this morning to type it out.

With my son ,Brandon, in mind,
I sit down to write and take the time.
I wonder in years what will he become.
Will he grow big and strong like some?

Will he live to be a married man,
Or to be a Grandpa again and again?
The uncertain future for him is hard to think about,
But with God's help I will not doubt.

Colds, ear infections, and the flu,
I wonder sometimes what we are going to do.
It makes this mother's heart ache,
Wondering just how much he will be able to take.

The Lord had a plan when he was born,
He constructed his every shape and form.
I pray Brandon will live to be a testimony to all,
Of God's grace and mercy for all who on Him will call.

The little things......

There are the big things in life that make us happy..............like when we wake up at 3a.m. and realize that for the first time in several weeks Brandon is still asleep and hasn't woke us up once yet!
Then there are the little things, like when Adrian brings me a flower, and tells me he loves me.................or getting to see a hot air balloon when taking someone to the airport really early one Saturday morning..............or stopping to steal a kiss from the man you love.
