Last night we had a girl's party at Mom's house. I took Brandon along, so he was the only little boy there, unless of course if Kim is having a boy! We had a lot of fun. After dinner we played volleyball, or should I say "attempted to play volleyball". I must say it was quite bit a less eventful time than if the guys would have been there. We did manage to have a few volley's, but I do think we needed the guys help : ) Brandon just slept in the stroller the whole time we played! We also played "Mad Gab" and "Imagine If". Mrs. Schmidt came later in the evening and gave a very good devotion to us. She talked about being not conformed to this world, and all that applies there. Another point she emphasized was the need to be humble, and that was good to be reminded of.

Shower pics
A happy Mom-to-be

Katie's shower was on Saturday, and that was a lot of fun. She got a lot of nice things, great start for this new baby girl. Seeing all the cute dresses and girl outfits definitely makes me want a little girl one day. Boys clothes are cute, but there is just something about the pink, frills, lace, and everything else that comes with having a girl! We re-did the pose that was got at my shower with all the expectant girls, only this time I'm holding my baby, and there is one more expectant girl in the picture! It's so exciting with all these little ones on the way, and many of the parents becoming Mom's and Dad's for the first time.
Instead of having a devotion at the shower like we normally do, several of the Mom's shared advice, encouragement, or just funny "mom" stories, and those were neat to hear! It was said for Katie, but it was great for all of us Mom's to hear.
