Helping hands
Adrian enjoys helping me work in our flower gardens, although sometimes I have to encourage him to let the pretty flowers and roses stay on the plant where they belong. He sometimes gets carried away with pruning!
We planted a rose garden last April in memory of the baby we lost that we named Kate. Everyday when I look out the window or work in the rose garden I'm reminded of our precious little one that we did not get to meet, but who will someday get to be with. When the bushes bloom with roses it reminds me of how beautiful our little Kate would have been, and it makes her memory live on in our lives.

Banner-towing
A beautiful landing..........
Patrick and Adrian heading off to fly...................
This past week Patrick was training two guys how to tow banners, and so one afternoon I took the boys to watch. Adrian loves to go and watch anything that has to do with airplanes, and so it was fun spending the afternoon out on the grass strip. During the lunch break Patrick took Adrian up for a quick flight in the pattern, and he was very thrilled. The next day he found a little piece of string and he was using that as his tow rope, copying what he had seen the guys do with towing. So, I made him a little banner out of paper that says, "I love Daddy" to hook to his little plane that he takes everywhere with him. It's really cute, and he calls it his banner. It's always neat to watch Patrick train the guys, and I learn a little more about it everytime........proper approaches for pickup, proper climb after snagging the rope, and the proper air speed, so not to stall etc...

Hair Stylist!
I had the honors of cutting Joy's hair this past week. That's a very brave thing of her to let me put the sciccors to her hair! I hardly every cut girl's hair, since my house is full of boys!! I had fun though, and it was fun doing something different. I think it turned out pretty cute, and she's looking very cute pregnant as well!

Thankful
Adrian is growing up so fast, and so quickly becoming a little man! It's hard to believe that he will be three this year. He's so much fun, and is quickly becoming my little helper. I can tell him to go get things for me, or pick up his room, and he will do it. It's neat to see him learning that it's good to obey, and he's working on memorizing Ephesians 6:1 right now! It's really funny because where it says "Children obey your parents", he always personalizes it and says, "my parents"! He's his Daddy's shadow, and dreams of flying one day like his Dad.
I'm so thankful for Patrick, and what he means to me. He has been such a supporter, comforter, encouragement, and so much more throughout Brandon's birth, and what followed. I'm so blessed, and thankful that the Lord gave him to me as a husband, and I love every day we spend together.
Saturday Fun
Saturday's are always relaxing, fun days for us. We normally do yard work, and run any errands that we need to do. This Saturday Patrick and Adrian spent a good part of the afternoon mowing. Adrian was thrilled to be able to ride along, and didn't want to get off when the rain came and forced them inside. It has been extremely dry here though, so we were thankful for the rain. I had fun weeding the flower beds. I love planting flowers, and I would constantly be adding more to the yard, if I knew exactly where to put them! I just added another rose bush to our rose bed making I believe 11 rose bushes. They are so pretty when they are all blooming.

Sewing day
Today I had K, K, B, and F over for the day to sew. I have some sewing that I wanted to get done, but I figured it would be more enjoyable to have a bunch of girls over to do it with. So, after seeing who all was interested, we set the day. J was going to come, and even started on her way, but her truck had other plans, and she wasn't able to come : ( Thankfully it's now getting some special attention, and she might be able to attend the next one. All of the guys were wondering if we would actually get anything sewed with all the talking they assumed we would be doing, and we did! I was able to almost completely finished the project I was working on, even with all the ups and downs I made with taking care of Brandon! Mom came over early and got Adrian for me, and that was a great help. She took him to the park, and to McDonald's for lunch, so he was very happy with that, and told me all about it when he got home.
